Tom Owen from Sweetmarias reviews
beans for a living. |

Mr. Owen stated, "Kenya
is the East African powerhouse of the coffee world. Both in the cup,
and the way they run their trade, everything is top notch. The best
Kenya coffees are not sold simply as generic AA or AB. They are
specific auction lots sold to the highest bidder, and heated
competition drives the prices up. Their research and development is
unparalleled. Their quality control is meticulous, and many
thousands of small farmers are highly educated in their agricultural
practice --and rewarded -- for top level coffee."
There
is usually an agreement across a country sometimes the world among
green bean suppliers, sellers, roasters, consumers about a
particular coffee. What we do is spend one or two weeks calling and
researching about a coffee to find the sweet spot of agreement. For
our Summer inventory we were able to purchase a coffee that we could
roast that met the now rising expectations about

Gethumbwini Estate .
A review from the coffee storehouse stated,"
Awesome prepared as a vacuum pot coffee. We
roast this coffee just after the 1st crack and it tastes
incredible. Its aroma knocks you out with a heavy
blackcurrant-raspberry smell. It’s intense with a deep, bold
taste. Its ripe fruitiness is paired nicely with lots and lots of
creamy smoothness- Rolls over the tongue like smooth silk. As the
coffee cools down it has a very nice fruity acidity that carries to
the end. Be prepared to have a full pot on hand -this coffee will
definitely keep you refilling the cup.

You should purchase a grinder to get the
freshest coffee. What they didn't tell you is that your beans have
to be fresh roasted in order for your grinder to make that better
cup you wanted. Millions of Americans spend seven minutes per day
grinding their perfectly stale beans. Disenchanted by yet another
lie by the coffee industry the result is a genuine feeling of
distrust at the marketplace. At Coffees and Teas of Yesteryear we
work hard to get that trust back. First by giving good warranted
items and fresh coffee roasted on site. Wouldn't it be great if all
large coffee companies were as trustworthy?

roast Central American blend of the freshest recent harvest of 2008.
Clearly honoring the hard work of the veteran coffee growers of this
region. Traditional smooth taste from high quality beans. If you
like or hate the idea of his immigration policy and his sense of
continual conflict at our expense then this is the coffee bean you
can drink as you ponder. Maybe invite your Central American friends
over and have a party. tOrder

have hardly traveled walking the streets of an unknown to tourists
side of town. With this knowledge we make a different kind of
product and we were to some degree made into different kinds of
people. People associated with our store will probably never darken
the halls of a chain store. Except for the use of their bathrooms.
Or taking up space to get to the business next door. Arrogance can
be appropriate when you have a history of positive performance, and
we have that history of romancing the bean and tea leaf.
